Christmas Decorations 2009

Postby jaws » Sat Dec 5 2009, 5:22 am UTC

Show off your Christmas decorations here :D

We put it up today... and I got to decorate it! Yay!
Please excuse the dodgy picture quality... my camera needs replacing. It's on my Christmas wish list!

That's what it looks like during the day... if my camera decides to work at night (because it never does otherwise), I'll show you what it looks like with lights on.

Wow the decorations look great Tiffany! Ours go up this weekend, so I'll be sure to grab some pictures.

I love that cute "first Christmas in our new home" decoration. I hope you'll treasure that until you're both old and wrinkly! :D

Charles wanted to get ornaments that 'meant something' to us. So, each year...we'll get an ornament that is special. For instance, the year a pet/family member passes...they get an ornament with that year on it, etc. Kind of like a memorial type Christmas tree. A big scrapbook or family quilt, if you will.

That's sweet. A very cute idea!

I noticed when I was putting our decorations up just how old some of them were. Like our stockings. Me and my sister have matching stockings that our cousin made for us when I was about two and they're still hanging! And this cute little ferris-wheel figurine that has santa and three reindeer in seats and spins around while playing chistmas carols... and a carousel thingy with an elephant, lion, zebra and tiger that plays carols. Absolutely gorgeous! Those two have been around for donkeys years! :D

Hi everyone! I know I joined and then didn't continue coming back. I'm really sorry about that. It seems that I've been so busy that even the two other websites that I'm Admin for I haven't even been able to do my duties. Between RL and getting hung up on Skype as well as installing and reinstalling the game I'm behind everywhere.

Jaws, your family seems like a family I'd love meeting. What a wonderful concept (upside down Christmas tree) I think it's marvelous! Tiffany, you have a lovely home.

My Christmas was great. We started at my oldest daughter's house quite early in the morning to exchange presents. Later that evening my three kids gathered at my house for Christmas dinner. It was just a simple good time with my kids and hubby watching movies on the TV. <3 I cried a lot the next day because it was my youngest birthday. She turned 18 and I just couldn't handle that she is now an adult. Oh well, such is life. We had a blast anyway.

Happy New year to all of you! (((Hugs))) I promise to return sooner.
Laughter is good for the soul; try it. :D
